Paintball is a recreational game in which players eliminate opponents from play by hitting them with paint-filled, breakable, gelatin paintballs. Though it may sound primitive, it's grown in popularity in the last two decades. It makes for a fun, competitive family outing, or a memorable team-building corporate activity. The remote woods of the Vail Valley provide a memorable and unique setting for a paintball excursion. Vendors will supply everything necessary for a fun and exhilarating game in the woods, which should include eyewear and a face/neck mask. Because the paintballs break upon impact, the "shot" may sting for a second, but does not typically wound the player. Extra paint and camouflage coveralls can also be purchased. Long, durable pants (i.e. denim) and a long-sleeve heavier shirt are recommended. Opt for older, darker clothes the paint can stain (though it's usually water-soluble and washes out), so don't bring anything you can't stand getting dirty. Boots with ankle support are advised, as competition can turn things intense. Most vendors will also provide round-trip transportation to the playing field.
